I suspect this subject has probably been covered before, so apologies for the repetition. I'm trying to get hold of some jump leads for my T350. I've found a few places that offer them but they're quoting upwards of £60 which I thought seemed excessive for a set of jump leads. Does anyone know of anywhere that sells them at a reasonable price?

...set of leads around £15, anderson connector (make sure its genuine, type SB175) around £12 for a pair.

Chop the leads in half, put an Anderson connector on each pair, keep one pair for yourself and sell the other on fleabay for £22 plus postage biglaugh

Thats how I got mine. Only prob is finding a proper crimping tool. I ended up soldering mine, (lots of solder, mini blow torch - doddle!)

Hi Ant - hows the Tam going? thumbup

Tamora is fine Mart, not used it for ages due to buidling a new garage, but soon, soon....missing it.

Well spotted!

Those cables are going to get pretty warm if you're cranking for any length of time though? Remember partially mellting a set of Halfrauds 16mm jump leads getting my old Mk2 Escort going after a rebuild.... biglaugh

Ant - The Griff is going well - have had a couple of false starts getting it out of hibernation, keep setting off for work in the sunshine, forgetting I have to drive home in freezing fog/ dark/snow! Was planning to do the Cobweb this weekend but have some family commitments that'll probably keep me down South for the weekend frown

I got mine from eBay, land rover also use an Anderson connector so search for LR jump leads too. I suggest you get longer than 3m.

note TVR used the GREY coloured Anderson connector - it is NOT compatible with the similar looking RED one.

Just received this through the post and it doesn't fit. In case anyone else goes down this route.

Does anyone know if you can get this in the size that would fit the tvr?

AFAIK the plug you're after is Anderson part number SB175. They come in different colours, but they are interchangeable.

Plenty on Ebay but not all genuine Anderson. Expect to pay £5 to £7 plus postage.

You need to ensure you order an Anderson capable of 175 Amps (SB175) - the plug dimensions are approx 54 x 80 mm

HTHs ?

Thats because its a 50 amp and you need a 175amp (they look the same in a picture).

You need one of these with a grey connector:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ANDERSON-PLUG-SB175-AMP-...

I made some cables up and sold them recently. If I get tme will do some more and put them in the classifieds.

Cheers. Lee.
