I'd avoid the printed media personally and place a thinly veiled advert in the form of a thread on the UK's most popular TVR forum if I were you.

I put my advert on here and TVR Webmart, not one I would say was a waste of time enquiry, the people calling knew the right questions to ask and sold very quickly, I could have sold it 4x over!. dont try to get over the odds as a private seller as it will never sell, TVR buyers are sensible with their money. smile

Hi SPS , just saw you're thinking of selling my old car after only a year of ownership. Any particular reason? If you do sell come and join the Aston community, fabulous cars, mines been absolutely bombproof.
Still can't get my head around the difference in Sag/ T350 resale prices. Think Sag prices are just daft. No way are they worth £30,000 more than a T350.

Hi mate - I'm only thinking of selling because I have been offered a deal on a Sag - but like you am unsure about the high differential in price! I just am not sure that the car is worth over twice the value of my T350 which as you know more than most is a cracker. I have yet to drive the Sag - so will make my mind up then....
I did look at a rather nice DB 9 and was offered a good p/x but to be honest it just did not give me anything like the buzz of the TVR. Mind you it is absolutely fabulous looking thing (2009 model).
Cheers

Try a Vantage. Once you get used to the size and gearbox its a fabulous piece of kit. I adore mine and would only change for either a Roadster or a V12 Vantage. You need to drive it for an hour or so. I have a feeling that Sag values will soften in the next year / eighteen months. When you look at what's out there for around £50,000 Sags look very expensive to me.
When you sit in the Sag its identical to the T350. I was offered a deal on a Sag but they wanted £28, 000 plus my T350. !!!! Had a drive and would agree it feels more planted and there is a bit more grunt BUT not £28,000 's worth.
Let me know how you get on.
Why don't you spend some cash on the T350 on a Nitrons set up and big brakes. Be much cheaper and I think T 350 values wii go up not down as people realise how underpriced they are.I've met several TVR folk who prefer the T350 to the SAG.

Hi mate - can't really stretch to that level of outlay TBH. Anyway the wife would kill me as I promised that we would look to buy a bigger place in Spain this year!
Always a trade off with the boss lol.
What she is OK with is that I keep the T car and buy a track day car for about £15k.
Cheers

I think she's spot on.
I've had two Caterhams and they are wonderful and cost buttons to run and I got back what I paid for them!
Only cars I've ever done that with !!!!
Had great fun at Outon with track days.
