Possessed Headlights
Discussion
Hi All,
Noticed my headlights dip beam lights weren't working today (turned the rotary light switch and lights next to switch didn't light up or the actual lights)... I'm not the most technical person but thought i'd try change the fuse (No 6 from the below diagram) and seemed to fix it.. for about an hour I basked in my technical skills and knowhow...
However.. it seems be a more intermittent fault - The headlights stay on but the lights next to the rotary headlight switch go off or are very Dim.. going over bumps seems to be affecting this changing the lights on the rotating switch to off, dim, or normal (with the actual headlights still remaining on). Even the dash seems to occasionally get confused whether the headlights are on or off.. going from dim (head lights on) to bright (headlights off) all with the lights still remaining on..
I'm thinking in my meddling with the fuses may have (temporarily) set right a slightly dodgy connection (or its a coincidence - or my car is haunted)
Any obvious fuses/connections I should be looking at? or should I call the ghostbusters?.. I'm a bit worried about being plunged into darkness driving along one evening!
Thanks in advance,
Andy

Was there any ectoplasm or signs of other paranormal activity? If not.......Noticed my headlights dip beam lights weren't working today (turned the rotary light switch and lights next to switch didn't light up or the actual lights)... The ribbon cable connector in the back of the pod may be loose at either end or damaged. The rotary controller could be on its way out too but unlikely. Was the fuse blown that you replaced?
Sorry for the confusion it was fuse number 10 I changed.. didn't appear blown but thought i'd change it any way as a bit of a test and seemed to fix it..
I will make sure the ribbon cable is securely connected this evening if it doesn't seem to be that i'll take to someone that knows what they're doing
