Further to the fun I had at the garage several months back getting the radiator installed (££££), the car came back with a fault about air temp sensor. Today I found the problem - it was missing. The garage claimed it had the error when it arrived - right... New sensor installed and car is happy!

Where is the sensor supposed to be fixed? Grahams book shows on the Sag that it's in the drivers side air intake by the vanes - but on the T350 I can't see anywhere. It's just loose at the moment wrapped round some wiring behind the headlight.

My question is - what does this sensor do? Does it just give an information display on the dash or does it feed into the ECU etc?

It's probably a placebo, but my voltages seemed to be low previously - dropping down to 11.Xv at idle - now with the sensor back in it's holding a steady 13+V.

It does nothing other than provide a frost warning and a temp on the dash readout. Fitting the sensor will stop the error code from appearing.

Where on your car did the wiring lead appear at the loom? My sensor is also missing but I cant find the wire and connector?

Cheers

Mine was behind/below the drivers side headlight - assume similar place on the Tam. Was easier to see on the T350 as you can look through the hole below the headlight.
