Hi all
Seems like ages since I have asked a question on here but I am stuck!
Recently my speedo transducer packed up so I ordered one of the 'upgraded' versions from one of the main TVR dealers.
To be honest it arrived and I was not that impressed as it was plastic not metal and I had to swap the mounting bracket for a flat plate they sent which meant also sorting some shorter bolts (UNC thread not metric). Also locking it into place at a 20thou gap is not easy as I didnt want to strip the plastic threads.
Anyway I fitted it and it was working fine but the needle did seem to vibrate a little but I can't remember if it was smooth before. The speed was also reading fine.
Its been running on the car for around 400 miles and now today the speedo needle went up on start up and stopped at around 20mph so I now get a system fault as it wont Zero and I cant move it using the POD menu.
Is this going to be a POD out job and does anyone think this needle failure could be to do with the transducer?
Oh, transducer still working as digital readout seems fine.
Thanks in advance, cheers

No idea Lee, sorry.
Just wanted to publicly say thanks for all the little extras I have bought from you. Both quality of product and delivery were superb.
Hope you get this issue sorted ASAP!

Thanks Cammy, will have to give the supplier a ring on Monday. Its like the transducer has to short an output so on/off too quick causing the judder.
Just hope its not going to cost a lot to fix.

Sounds like a zero position sensor fault on the speedo. When mine did this either (a) unplugging the clock pack & re-connecting it sorted it or (b) go into the POD menu where you can set the needle position and coming out of it so the dials 'sweep' re-set it.
It was only a work round and eventually it just went tits up and I had to enlist the services of Paul Smith to sort it.
