This morning, leaving for work, I noticed the amber LEDs were on for the rear fog lights switch, even though it was in the switched off position and the key was not in the ignition. I then noticed my front side lights were also on and intermittently flashing on and off.

I had no time to fully investigate why or where this was happening. All I've managed to do is pull the 2 associated fuses so that my side lights stay off until I can have a proper look tonight. As things stand the Amber LEDs are still on for the rear fog lights.

Can anyone give me any pointers as to where I should be looking to fix this fault?
Cheers
John

After travelling home in a particularly heavy rain storm, my main lights stayed on after keys removed and lights switched off. Like you removed the fuses and put them in later and remained off. Thought no more of it until recent service in March where I had to get a new fuse box due to water ingress!

Board was covered in green algae and was an accident waiting to happen. So although lights may be OK and everything else fine, have a good look at the fuse box for signs of water leaks. I had no other electrical issues to alert me to this, and guys in garage only found it as they were checking wiper relay.

Hi, make sure to check if your boot is closed ok. I have had the issue where I would close the lid but the lock would jump back to 'open' although the lid was down. this caused my lights to remain on.
Good luck.
Tom.

It sounds like damp on the fuse board to me. This happened on my tam because of a leak in the windscreen seal at the side running round to the dash.
