My mates Tamora has a problem with the boot solenoid opening.

The button works fine and the solenoid operates correctly when earthed locally in the boot.

I've found the wire that runs back to the door ECU must be high resistance. To get round the issue I've run a tempory wire from the solenoid back to the door ECU.

For info, the boot solenoid if fed with permanent 12v, not powered from the door ECU, when the button is pressed the door ECU decks the return wire from the boot solenoid to earth to complete the circuit.

So my question is.....anyone know of any intermediate electrical connector blocks and where they are located in the loom, I'm wondering if there is one in the rear compartment somewhere but don't want to pull up all the carpets unnecessarily.

Cheers,

Rich.

I guess tam is same as sag ,

if so on sagaris main loom is one piece through drivers door sill,
where it can wear through on the fibreglass
It's earthed on the cage fabrication just behind and above the seat belt reel
Then to door solenoid & micro switch
It then goes over the wheel arch to rh lamps, fuel , pump & level , reverse & lamps boot, then lh lamps & speedo, carbon purge solenoid then to door solenoid and micro switch
