I've just had HiD's installed on low beam of Sag - delighted with light intensity, standard H7's are like driving with candles. Problem is that the green dash LED's do not illuminate when lights are switched on. OK with lights off or side lights only however they switch off when on low/high beam. Dash menu settings OK, just fails when lights switched on.

Any ideas?

Thx

You will have this issue, HIDS have issues with TVR's. Some are ok, some are not. Generally speaking turn lights on before engine starts and the dash lights are activated, then you should be ok. The spike or frequency, whatever it is, happens at this point, which won't affect the dash lights, then you start the engine, dash lights come on smile I'm going to try something out later in the year to see if this resolves it, by inserting something to allow the charge, or frequency to disipate on it before the dash lights. I will let you know the results. I could be a load of cobblers smile The alternative is to go back to the normal lights but with brighter bulbs, which i haven't ruled out if this idea holds no water, as the difference isn't significant tbh

Thanks all. I'm loathe to revert to standard lights and 'brighter' H7's don't cut mustard. I've not tried lights on first, if that works then it's an acceptable workaround. Had the HiD's fitted only today and yet to try them in anger, only noticed dash lights out when trying in daylight. Will advise if quick fix works, here's hoping

Neill,

Had the same problem when I fitted HIDs to T350. Workaround works for me.
Another solution I have heard about, but not yet tried, is to wire HID power feed direct from battery (including a fuse and a relay to switch them on)

Hamish - lights on first does work most of the time, just need to get the sequence sorted out. Might try relay and direct power from battery if I get around to it.

Baz - 911 lights work all the time!!
