Door Mirror

I've just replaced the drivers side door mirror. Unfortunately now the adjustment doesn't work. I can hear a solenoid clicking but no action. Passenger side is fine. Have I fubar'ed the motor ?

Try gently pushing the outer edge in to the housing in the absence of a more scientific mechanical response.
