Plug to fit into the socket aft of the left front wheel? I have looked, but can't find any, and can't remember what I used to have.

Please help... smile

Chris I assume you mean the Anderson connectors ? I've not seen any conditioners with those on. Mines an Optimate and I used one of the 2 connectors that come with the kit. I used the one with the ring connector and fitted it to the battery lead clamp bolts . The end that connects to the Optimate has a rubber cover to protect it I put that on and leave it in the battery compartment. Then when I put the car away for the winter I pull the lead out and connect the Optimate.

But I believe there's a conditioner that will charge the battery via the cigarette lighter.

I plug my CTeck in via the cig lighter. That way I don't drive off with it still connected to the car!

Cheers for the response, much appreciated. Yes, the Anderson connectors. One of the first things I did when I went to look at this Tam was to check it had the socket under the wheel arch, which it does. I used to plug the conditioner directly into this socket - but haven't seen any of the latest conditioners that have an option for this larger plug. (only jump-leads)

Which is the best for a cigar lighter socket - I have to get one as I know the battery will go flat within days if not used.

I use an Accumate through the lighter socket. Have used the same one every day since 2008.I think you will find a lot of guys on here use them.

Just had a look in my garage and realised I have a brand new Optimate 4 battery conditioner for my wife's trophy 160. Have just bought the Cigar lighter lead - so, sorry MG....

I just connect my jumpstarter cable (with Anderson connector) to the trickle charger, care free and you can use any charger.

I have fitted an Anderson plug onto my conditioner. Also makes me ensure the plug on the car is maintained.

Dead easy and works a treat. Will try and take some pics.

Cheers

Good idea to connect an Anderson plug to the charger, I think of that, but I have a negative Midas touch when electric are involved.
