Hi the key for my T350 is a Ford key, I got a spare cut in Timpsons.

Thanks, does it also unlock the car and disarm arm it with the button? I made the mistake of getting a key cut for another car at a key cutting place and the car would then randomly keep breaking down - turns out there was a chip in the key that the engine needed to communicate with occasionally... My Tamora is an early 2002 one.Don

The key only contains the transmitter to arm/disarm the alarm (via the button) the immobiliser is either disarmed by pushing the key button or placing the little key thingumbob on the touch plate with the red flashing light on it. Edited by shep1001 on Wednesday 9th October 15:00
The TVR-Key doesn't contain a Transponder ! The Radio-Transmitter, which is worked by the Button in the key, talks to the Alarm ECU only. The Alarm ECU itself disarms the Immobilizer through a direct cable connection, if both (Alarm and Immobilizer) are synchronized correctly. The Extra Stick is only for the Immobilizer.
This is different from a standard car setup. There the Radio-Oart of the key is only for the central locking system. The Immobilizer works with a Extra Transponder in the key through an Antenna which is around the Ignition-Key-Barrel.
