Afternoon,

I've got an itch at the moment for a fun and frolics car and at the moment a TVR Tamora or T350C seem to be giving the most 'fizz' at the moment. I've been flitting between an R8 and a homebuild Locost with most things imbetween (Elise, Boxster, 911, M3 etc......). Practicallity is provided by other cars. Trips to Le Mans are all the 'Touring' the fun car needs to do.

I'm handy with the tools and don't mind getting dirty so the TVR 'rep' [whether true or not] is not an issue for me.

I'll also be using the car for trackdays and would like some feed back from those who do the same. I expect it''l be about four trackdays a year. Is there anything precautionary I should do to maintain reliability?

hello

either of those would fit the bill....really do need to decide if a convertible or roof is your thing though....i'd hate a roofed summer car but that is just my opinion and others will disagree

as always go in with your mind open, and armed with info, risk areas are chassis and engine, so check condition of those first and foremost

Happy with either a convertable or coupe. There's a couple of 'low' milage ones near me both with full, regular history.

Sat in a Tamora today and it felt a nice place to be.

Sat in a Cerbera is a much better place to be IMHO

Haha.

Given the ball ache I'm having getting an insurance quote, a TVR is unlikely to the one to sooth the itch!

Try Mannings UK insurance.

Gone down the list in the Wiki. I've found a policy now but it's pretty weighty. Seems to be an issue not having owned a similar vehicle (rwd, 300hp and no ESP).

Monies not an issue so I'll consider swallowing it for the first year and moving onto Mannings or similar.

Funnily enough, Audi R8 V10 half the price and no issues with having not owned similar, as was a 911.

ETA - Left a message for a seller to get me back to me regarding their car for sale.

Cheers, although I heard it the first time wink

I tried Classic and they stated the same as above. I'm happy to pay the premium for the first year.

Not heard from the classified ad guy but I'm hoping to see one on Saturday.

Tamora is currently causing a rash.

I'll give them ago. My urrent insurer won't cover me in the multicar policy.

Had a chat with the classified seller last night. Sounds very nice.

The green one at TVR MADs is in fantastic condition, worth a look - I had to flip a coin to decide between the two he had for sale.

Vary nice but Bradford is a bit far for me to go. Although I do have a trackday at Oulton Park at the beginning of November.

I bought mine from James at TVR Mads and he is a great guy with a good reputation.

I had it checked over and serviced at X -Works Kirkham and they are great too.

Like a prat, I sold my Tamora earlier this year and really miss it.

They are a brilliant car to own and drive, so do take the time for a decent test drive.

I love the T350 but roof off driving is a must in the decent weather.

As much as I love the T350, and drool over the shape, I couldn't bring myself to buy one because I feel taking the top off when it's not raining is a must - it is a big part of the experience for me - it had to be another Tam.
