Steering column bush loose
Discussion
Think this must be an odd one as this is the first issue I've not been able to solve using Mr Varley's excellent manual.
Out on a run today and heard a noise from the steering column knocking on something. Expecting it to be a steering UJ, I jacked up the front offside, took the wheel off and found the column was knocking against the sides of the hole as it passes through the bulkhead.
Looking at various sites I found there should be a bush on the steering column as per this picture.

On crawling in the drivers footwell I found that the bush had slipped up the column.
Easy to push it down into place again, but I assume there should be something that holds it in place. Any experts out there that know?
