LS7 Sag is now home
Discussion
Well the Sag is now back with me and has had the first dry day outing. I am totally amazed…it is unbelievable….goes like a train and sounds amazing …today was a massive grin day
Picked it up last week from TopCats in torrential rain, which proved to be an interesting drive home. After 3 months at TopCats I spent last weekend polishing the car and getting it back the way I like it. Since then I just can not stop looking at it....sad
It went for the MOT and the comments from the guys re the standard of engineering TopCats had done was full of praise…….given the MOT garage I use do a lot of TVR work and they see a number of race and customised cars comment like “this is a truly professional installation” is music to the ear.
The work done on the car was a little excessive. LS7 with complete drive train. refurbished diff, new 19” Power wheels, new Gaz Gold Pros all round and every part that came off the car was refurbished or replaced. When you start it is hard to stop..... So after all the work by TopCats, D&C trim, Paul at Prestige Performance etc I now have the car I want …..….for now
Well the drive today. The torque and the power of the LS7 in a Sag in unbelievable. It is incredibly drivable in the city amongst traffic and when you open it up on the open road it just throws you back in your seat and away it goes….pulling like it will never stop. The sound track when it drives past it pure muscle. The only thing I miss are the pops and bangs…small compromise. First impressions this is more than enough power and on a UK cold road it can all get a little lively....but great fun. Engine will need a few more miles to bed in and loosen up and the setup etc will need a little adjustment once I get more miles under the belt. The way the car now behave and delivers the power is very different but in my opinion significantly better…. for me I cant see it getting any better.
Pics will follow when I stop driving ....will be a long time.

Ken, this is not a great vid as it was just a test but this will give you an idea. Can not remember for the life of me if I had my sleeves in or not.

There's always one to bring you back down to earth. LOL
Not down on earth just now….I like the Pros. I guess it’s all down to the use. For a road car and limited track use they are a well made with a better problem record than some. For a regulation free race series it would be a different choice.

Nice.......now I will have all I ever wanted http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtolmTdcdko

Pics are from my phone so not great.
From the original launch car to now.
Engineering work from TopCats is excellent – if anyone is thinking of doing an LS conversion they are A1.
Thought I would drop a pic in of the re trim from D&C. They did a great job and I would recommend these guys anytime.
For those looking at a change of wheels I had not seen a Red Glo sag with 19”
The choice was a hard one when the S6 went pop but after the weeks I could not be happier. Thanks for all those who helped in the decision.
