it needs about 3" chopping out of the screen height..but really it needs chucking in a skip. If it takes off and becomes scuccesful you can just imagine the some of the comments said to genuine owners...... you thought Porsche drivers had some stick with the beetle...this will be even better

I just don't get the mentality behind these things. I'd rather have the original mx5 than a fake Sag, even if it looked 100% genuine from the outside, which this isn't going to.
If I were gifted those `assets`, I'd sell the shells and mx5 and put it toward a Tam!
Btw, for the `fake` pool to be fake you'd have to lay bricks round the outside and tile the interior. Its no different to the mx5 before it was vandalized

I'd imagine he's thinking of making it look as close as he can get and then sell on conversion kits moulded from the finished car.
It's not going to effect the value of Sags and might make the guy a few bob in the process and he gets a car which he likes the look of.
There's things i don't like about it like the wheels etc and there are things to work out but as it goes i think he's achieved a pretty decent start.
