Probably been done to death.

Tamy has started running really roughly. I've been using regular unleaded. Should I be using super unleaded instead?

Mine runs better on Shell Vpower than BP ultimate, but I could be imagining it...
If you feel yours is running rough, get the throttle bodies tunned. Mine was rough in cold weather when I first got but the tune transformed it.

Yes, would suggest balancing the throttle bodies as well. Worked wonders on my car.

So far as I am aware the std TVR engine/ECU combo can't differentiate between the different octanes of fuel. That said I just avoid supermarket stuff and fill up with Shell or BP

It wont know the difference but chip/map will have been for either 95 or 97.

Handbook should state which to run.

My handbook and the sticker next to the fuel filler say 95RON. Previous owner only ran 'Super'.

I'll sort out a service - the airbox looks borked / doesn't seal up properly isn't going to be helping.

Only ever put the most convenient fuel in mine, usually Tesco or shell 95 RON. Runs well, with lots of nice overrun.

However, I used esso 95 in today, and no more pops and bangs. Running fine though.

Coincidence or has the ecu changed its settings in response to the esso fuel?

Tam handbook say's "normal everday use - Premium unleaded 95 Ron
Track use - Super unleaded 98 Ron"
I use Shell 98, seems to suit the car and push on motoring just fine.
