Need to be vague here for obvious reasons.. PM me if needed.

I am going to put the Sag into storage for a few (maybe 6) months and as people to the same over winter in the UK, I thought I'd ask:

Are there any alarm issues leaving the battery disconnected.

Also, does the main battery supplement the dash non volatile ram (time and mileage)..so with the battery disconnected, will the dash pod battery go flat?

TIA..

I don't have the answer to your questions sorry, but you own a Sag, and live in Oz, jammy speaks to mind. Hope you get your answers.

Hi Lindsey

The only issue you may have is the back up battery in the dash iirc if it's not in good health then it will loose all data mileage etc. Other than that I can't see there been any other issue. My Tamora is usually in storage between end of Sept to beginning of April and have had no Issue but now I just plug in the optimal trickle charger. The only thing I'd do would run it up temperature just to get oil around the engine which will lub all the internal oil seals etc obviously if it's ran in the last couple weeks it should be ok.

Don't forget disconnect earth lead 1st

And when reconnecting fit the live 1st as there's a possibility of damaging the ECU if you don't .

There may be on or two other things that people may have experienced but I'm sure they'll be a long to put their findings

The car will lock and the alarm will start playing its designed role, going on when reconnecting the battery...
Have your keys reade to disarm and unlock the car...
