How to remove Sagaris rear lights ?
Discussion
Hi,
Can anyone tell me the best/easiest way of removing the rear brake/side/indicator lights on a Sagaris ?
Unlike the Tamora, where TVR using a 5p sized blob of silicon between all lights, the Sag units appear to be bonded.
I've removed the interior trim to get access to the rear but I still don't know how to remove the bonding material. Access is very tight and I can only get to one side of the lights and not all the way round.
Thanks
Paul

Has anyone got any answers for Paul on this?

Rears are bonded in with epoxy like T350. Front brackets also bonded on, and then adjusters holding the lights in. Based on other's suggestions the best way of removing them depends if you are taking the perspex light cover off and can apply any force from outside into the car. If not, chipping away at the epoxy where you can and then pulling the lamp fitting out with a finger after taking the bulb out is the best. However, there's a good chance that some of the light fittings will get destroyed when doing this, as others have found out.
I was going to change the rear lights on my T350 to the SVC LEDs, however at the last moment, finally found some decent Cree LED bulbs for the standard fittings that are actually brighter than the original bulbs and look right. So went that route in the end.

Thanks for the pictures Graham.
I've not removed anywhere near enough of the trim to get that much access.
Being a complete numpty when it comes to this kind of thing I'm not sure I'm prepared to even try.
Craig, it's the SVC leds I'm going for. Two side/brake and one indicator each side.
Thanks for the help.
