Hi guys,

My car's currently completely standard and whilst I love the noise it makes, there's always room for improvement! Accelerating through the gears and at idle I have no issue with the noise at all. I don't want something horrendously loud or anything, just looking for a few more pops and bangs and preferably, flames! What are the dos and don'ts here - I know taking the Cat out is going to make a difference but are there any downfalls to this?

Ben, I've kept the cats on and put on the Act big bore and cans and am really pleased with the result.

Yes take the cats out, sounds way better and reduces heat

is decatting going to result in a loss of torque? Think I'll avoid if so.

biggrin cheers. I'll get that done first then before I do anything else, see what difference it makes. Seen a few people mention a chip and remap? Does that actually make much/any difference to the power?

I think the chip is just to help it through emissions on the mot though could be wrong.

For many Sag owners simply driving the car improves the sound tongue out

Just a bit......the thought of blowing flames from a Sagaris...melt the rear panels and singe the eyebrows of passing pedestrians.

Good Pops and bangs when you need them along with a deeper sound :-)
