Parking at Goodwood - in Sagaris
Discussion
FoS is lots of fun but personally I wouldn't take a nice car out of choice. As others have said, you will be parking in a lumpy field which is either muddy, dusty or amazingly - both. And unless you're very wile, you'll be queuing in traffic++ on the way there. Don't give yourself something to worry about and get on with enjoying the day.

^^^ ThisFoS is great but there is no way I would take my Tiv to the standard car park. The dust last year was unbelievable.
The t
ts who organise the parking at Goodwood will ensure you spend a minimum of an hour just leaving the public parking field at a Breakfast Meet let alone the FoS. I went to Supercar Sunday (in my 1988 Ford Escort 'Supercar' and did just that because the d
head who was waving the traffic out of the field would stop us leaving if there was the threat of a car coming from the track. That happened every 30 - 45 seconds but we'd be stopped for ten minutes at a time. There was only one exit for a couple of thousand cars; the result was f
king chaos. I've seen the same marshall quite a few times so he should know f
kING BETTER, but is obviously completely stupid. Another harassed marshall walked the length of the field and it appears told the w
ker to let us out before a fight started and miraculously we all drove out within about five minutes. I suggest you take a small van with a generator and an angle grinder; that will enable you to cut the chains off one of the many field gates that are kept locked to prevent any one leaving. The FoS may be a great event trackside but the
s organising it don't give a s
t if you never get home. I keep going to events there in the misguided belief they will one day learn from previous traffic f
k-ups and pay some attention to the problem. I suppose they are just happy to have your luvverly spon.
Mods, please move this rant to an appropriate forum if you feel the need.
I'm going to lie down now; the horror has come flooding back to me......

I read between the lines you are slightly miffed by the episode?

Anyone know what the supercar car park is like for parking?
still in a field?
I'd like to know more about this too... I emailed them earlier today as we were going to drive in a convoy of T350t and Noble M12, latter of which has a really low front splitter. They have an 'eligibility' list on their website which refers to the M12, but under TVR it simply says 'Griffith'. It took forever to find it... easiest to just google it.still in a field?
But seriously!? I mean I know Griffith's are a big deal, but would they rather a Griffith on show than a Tuscan, or a Sagaris!?
Strange... no word back either. I found a few threads saying its still on grass, but slightly easier approach and nearer to the action. Apparently at the end of the day you are literally at the back of the queue... add to that the finger prints of the public looking around it all sounds like a bargain for £50!

Nor has the traffic been preposterous in or out, for FOS or Revival. Plus the drive was fun!
