Well I drove the T350 for the very first time today having taxed it last week. Here are my first impressions compared to my Sagaris RT...and remember they are very much first impressions:

Def more twitchy:

I run Toyo 888's on the Sagaris and Toyo T1's on the T350...so this may well be a (big) factor...and the Sagaris has been set up Geo-wise by those terribly nice people at Blackboots, so plan to get the T350 set up by Blackboots also...they are literally 5mins from me.

Performance:

Acceleration....awesome and I seemed to be travelling much, much quicker than I had imagined ...like flipping heck quick (John had warned me about this saying it was the fastest road going speed six engined car he had driven...and he should know). I will hook up a TomTom and check the speedo with the TomTom later today to see how much the speedo 'flatters' (interestingly the speedo on the Sagaris is dead accurate).

Is it faster than the Sagaris in a straight line?...I suspect so. The T350 has a blueprinted TuscanS engine installed as part of the factory development of this engine for racing...the Sagaris has a low compression Speed Six in it (the factory were going to supercharge the car as a development mule ...hence the low compression unit; they never put a supercharger on the car...or if they did, its been removed).

Impact:

I alway's thought the T350 as a bit of a 'q' car ....and great fun because of it. When I was filling the car up, it generated much more interest than I imagined....people were very curious and complimentary and luuuuved the colour.

Various:

Indicator stalk too close to the fan/air con controls (it has no air con by the way!)....need to create a little bit more clearance ....like maybe adjusting the wheel position smile

Gear lever traps fingers against the gear lever trim surround when moving into 2nd and 4th....need to move the trim forward by about 3-4mm

Rev warning lights need adjusting....lights come on too far down the rev range wink

The data on the screen seems different to the Sagaris....as you page through, it doesn't seem to have a screen that shows big and bold speed and oil temp...

More insights to follow as I get to know the car....

Absolutely Alan....just checked the tent over...after it was last put away - Classic LM 2012! ....watertight (which is all that matters after all)....but has an aroma inside akin to a combo of wet dog and sumo wrestlers jock strap ( I would imagine smile)...no matter...after a few cheeky Pelforths it will smell as fresh as a daisy wink ...and we won't be spending much time inspecting the inside of our eyelids anyway.....

I have just rememberd another difference beween the two cars...the T350 is on spiders...the Sagaris has its very own and original Compomotives...havn't a clue if this could make a difference as they are the same size wheel...anyhow...just thought I would mention it...

+1 for proper suspension set up being important, more important than the tyres themselves. And making sure while this is being done that your ride-height is correct and the dampers are on a suitable setting.

I was surprised to find that the speedo on my Tuscan S 'vert and TomTom are exactly in agreement.

The Chim I had reported around 10%-15% over. The aftermarket rims might have had something to do with it... although larger wheels would surely cause the speedo to under-report?

Yes, larger rolling diameter would make it under-read. It's the rims and tyres combined, obviously.

Looks good. You can adjust the speedo zero so the analogue needle is spot on. You can also change what parameters you see on one of the screens, thats why its different to your sag. The manual shows you how to do this. Speedo zero is in 8. Factory settings
