A strange problem has started with the tamora. When I am driving along at any speed the drivers door opens it's self. This is a pain as you know you have to stop or be going very slow to open it fully and re close it. Has anyone had this problem before and any idea what it could be. It's random and sometimes happens 2 or 3 times a journey and sometimes not at all.
Many thanks

IIRC this is a problem with the solenoid that opens the door. Replace with one bought from Maplins. Bit of a bugger to fit.

Mine was a sticky switch on the dash. I think that being constantly half pressed then burnt out the door CPU which is a bit of a bugger to get to in the drivers footwell, but a bit easier on the other side..

The doors can't (read should) not be able to open on the move as they are electronically disabled - try it when on the move where its safe to do so. I would suggest the problem is either with the lock itself or more likely the manual door release handle is partially engaged. With the door closed pull the red handle (footwell by your right foot) to open the door then push it all the way back again. The Tamora has two handles for the drivers door for obvious reasons, ping me a message if you don't know where the second handle is.

The door will not open when driving as the disable must be working ok. Both handles work fine as well. It's very strange. I will swap the ecu's over to see if the passenger opens instead. When it does open on its own the door does not open fully so I can not just swing it and close it again, I have to stop the car and push the button.

I have a T350C and mine definitely did open on the move.

It happened on my Tuscan a few times as well.

I also remember several threads on the Tuscan forum about it.

Radio out. Remove button cluster of concerned side. Then refit misaligned alloy button which constantly operates the micro switch, and fingers crossed, you´re done.

Björn.

If I recall correctly, I ended up replacing the whole unit rather than just the switch/cleaning it up..

I had this problem on my 04 Cerbera. Turned out to be a broken door catch. Part of the plastic mechanism had cracked. Since replacing it is been fine
