Will need to change just the front tyres on the Tam very shortly, the car is currently running Toyo 225/35x18s on the front, which have wear to the inner edge, but nothing excessive, they would pass a MoT, but are now showing signs of cracking on the walls, they are 8yrs old after all. eek

I recently changed the rears, keeping Toyos (255/35) so ideally would like to match up, but as you know you can`t get 225/35s Toyos any more.

So the question is, do I go for Toyo 225/40s(possibly rubbing)or mismatch and get another brand in 225/35???

What yer reckon?

It's the luck of the draw. I run R1R on the fronts and raised the ride height 12mm . I had rubbing on the light cover but reduced the height of the bubble which cured it👍

I had the same issue as above when I went to 225/40 up front - Uniroyal Rainsport 3.

You can get Toyos in 225/35. My Tamora has some, and they are still available, around £115 each.

These are T1-Sport, and I assume you have T1-R on the rear so they would look different.

If you're ever heading up the a1 through cambs I have a lightly scrubbed pair of t1r's in the garage in 225 40 18. 1500 mile and 1 airfield training day is all they've had on them. £50 for the pair.

AFAIK you can't get T1Rs any more. Put T1 Sports on it.

I put a full set of T1 Sports on my Tuscan recently and they are very good, including the 225/35 'Tamora' sized fronts. As above, bought from Oponeo and the full set of 4 were less than £400 and were fitted free when I got the spiders refurbished.

No that's funny, my spiders are going in Tuesday for a refurb, getting them sprayed black as my T350 is black so my ones will be fitted free too
