Just stopped working today; Amy advice where to start? The inner button works fine, so I'm guessing just the switch. Easy to replace?

First thing i would do is wd40 the switch and the connector inside the door, that will probably get it working. Once the door card is off you could then test the operation of the switch with a multimeter...

If WD40 on the door does not work, mine stopped working and it was the switch as you say and pretty simple to fix as my mirror was hanging off as well

I had the same problem last year, and it turned out to be the door ECU. You can tell this as if you swap the left/right ECU's over the problem moves with it.

I had Powers look at it when the car was in for a service and they dry soldered the connections in the ECU and it has been fine since.

Try the drivers side door ECU in place of the passengers one and see if the problem moves. The door ECUs also control the windows and their position when the doors are open and closed.

The door ECUs seem to have a habit of going dry on the solder joints. One of mine started working again once I had been over all the solder joints and refreshed the solder!
