New Owner Questions

Hello there!

New owner of a t350, and have a couple of questions.

Where is the engine number and how do I see it? I need to update the log book and vin plate after an engine replacement.

And what is the expected average oil temp at this time of year. Seems to be no higher than 55ish?

Oil should have no issues reaching 80degC this time of year [in the UK].

Not sure the engine number is on the actual engine. It should definately be in the handbook and on the VIN plate in the engine bay.

It will also be on the V5C form.

The T350 has an amazing capability of getting cooling air to drag down the indicated oil temperature. Mine shows temperatures around 10 degrees lower than water temperature when stationary but on the move it quickly drops to 20 or more degrees cooler than the water temp. I'm sure this is an effect on the sensor and not a true indication of the oil temperature.

The engine no is on the water / oil pump housing at the n/s front of the engine just behind the front cover
