Mine doesn't do that. usually, there are lines that run across the LCD when it's on its way out.

Ive just replaced my screen due to lines appearing on it and whilst investigating came across a few cases of exactly this, peoples LCD screens dimming when engine running hot. Afraid I can't help with the solution but I'm sure someone will be along soon with advice.

Thanks for the replies, I managed to just see the screen and adjust the contrast, its fine again now its cold. Weird have no idea why it does it when its hot. It froze on me a few weeks back, also on a very hot day, I removed the fuse and it reset itself, as it remained on when the ignition key was out and engine off.

I've had mine remain on (on both the Sag and T350, but more so on the T350) but it's unrelated to heat in my case.

Is the small fan running correctly when things get warm?

I have experienced this on my Tuscan screen (although different to yours) as well as lines across it. when changed to a Racing Green replacement it still faded slightly when hot. I simply adjusted the screen so that it was quite dark when cold but perfect when hot. this fading is aparently common on these replacement screens

The dash has come back from Paul Smith for refurb/update work, part of the updates states RG LCD Screen update. The screen no longer dims and reacts alot quicker.

Mine did that before I sent it to Mr Smith (http://pselectronicsolutions.co.uk/about.html).

He updated the early drivers and firmware I had, for a small charge, now working as it was designed to do so.

I suggest you call him and explain your problem - Telephone: +44(0)7985355014 Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm

I believe you have a display driver issue?

HTH's ?
