Scaled down Sagaris

Scott Westbury of CarInABox.com previews the new model

TVR fans will have something to celebrate this summer when the scale model manufacturer Jadi release their brand new TVR Sagaris model in 1:18scale. Since their inception in 2000, Jadi have fast become a brand renowned for their keen interest in producing some great scale models such as the TVR Tuscan S which was launched in 2004.

2005 sees Jadi offering the TVR fanatic a 1:18 scale version of the brand new Sagaris. Having seen the pre-production sample at the London Toy Fair in January, we knew straight away that this would be the must have TVR model of the year. The model is scheduled for a May release, although this date is subject to change.

TVR Sagaris Scale ModelThe model itself, measuring some 250mm (10in) in length has been beautifully crafted, which with all the vents and curves you come to expect with TVR, has been reproduced very well indeed, no small feat in the world of scale models. Both driver and passenger doors open to give you access to the interior which is represented in a two tone finish. The vents on the front of the car can be opened, as can the rear window. The seven spoked alloy wheels have been reproduced to perfection and gives the whole package a very impressive look.

There will be three colours available, including Formula Red and Grigrio Titanio Silver. The picture shown is the first production shot that we have received direct from the manufacturer, which shows the Sagaris in the third colour option of Starmist Cosmos Blue. With a RRP of just £19.99 this model offers fantastic value for money.

Just beautiful and being 1:18, it is a size that lets you really see the detail

Mmmmmm

Ordered mine. Can't wait to get the real thing. Think i'll wait a year and see how they run though. Let someone else iron out the niggles, then i'll buy it from them once it's sorted
