A rather childish subject I know, but one I'm going to ask anyway.

What kind of top speeds have people getting out of T350/Sagaris?

What was the experience like? I'm thinking of doing Vmax to find out!

I wanted to do Vmax but the cost has rocketed over the last few years. I took my Chimaera to Elvington and did a standing mile with the Straightliners instead. Not bad at 176.5

Ooo that sounds interesting. I'll have to have a look for that.

From my experience it is all about the road surface.
I have taken my T350 to 150(ish) on a smooth surface and it was planted, comfortable and fun. On another occassion I was at about 130mph on a road that had lots of shallow dips all across the surface and it felt like the car was floating and that the steering was no longer connected to the front wheels. Very unnerving!

Yes. And no.
A lot depends on cassis geometry, suspension, wheels, tyres and tyre pressure.
When I got my Tamora two years ago the car, which was quite low at the front end, was undriveable on poor and rutted roads. Luckily adjustable Nitron shocks came with it. So I wound up the chassis at the front by only 1 cm with the result of a far better driveability and less jumpiness on all roads. Then I softened the shocks to "as soft as possible, as hard as necessary". Finally I went over to 17" wheels and made a propper geo setup. The result now is a car which is big fun on any road, even the bumpiest you can imagine. On the other hand the car is really stable at high speed and can be driven relaxed with just one hand at the steering wheel up to some 150 mls/h. I haven't go faster than maybe 160 yet as the Autobahn always has been too crowded for experiments like such.

In comparison with my former Chimaera 450 (standard suspension) I can say that the Tamora is way more stable at high speed especially at the rear. As the chassis is quite the same I guess in a T350 it should be similar.

I have done a 168 mph according to the GPS in the Tam 4.3. it's a speed that I wouldnt want to do on a regular basis its erm very, very focusing. The car felt like it was getting a tad little light on the front, but felt safe, fortunately the Auto bahn was quite clear at the time of doing this.... It sits quit scarily comfortable at 150-155 mph... The next thing is the slowing down aspect at these speeds....even down 100mph it feels like you are pottering a long compared to any thing over 140-150mph but what a great noise at those speeds!

155mph at RAF Wittering, very little left, definitely not a 175mph car as some have suggested, like Buzz said sounds well, but the front does start to feel a tad light

165mph at Bruntingthorpe. Was still accelerating so maybe 175 or more is possible but that righthander at the end of the runway was rushing towards me very quickly and I'd never braked from that speed before . . . .

A couple of clips of my car at Elvington.
I found it very stable.

It's all about having enough distance to get big speeds. I've hit 170+ on the Autobahn. Felt OK, but it was only a quick squirt after a stint cruising at 140 ish. I know there was more left but I was paranoid about losing my roof panels!

At Bruntingthorpe, my son was driving in May a few years ago. We had both windows open and I distinctly remember the vortex caused by the car travelling through the air was sucking grit from the surface of the runway in through the open windows. I remember the din and vibration caused by the concrete road surface being absolutely deafening and drowning out the engine noise. I also remember looking at the service bonnet chattering in front of me...no chance of that flying off tho I thought...it's held on by a couple of two inch long modified sump drain plugs. This is a slight point of debate between my son and I but I swear the gps was reading 186mph. A visceral experience and THE reason why I love these cars... I challenge almost any other vehicle could deliver that level sensory bombardment...never to be forgotten.
