your buying a 3.6 litre sports car and your concerned about economy?
LOL, agreed, I have never once considered the MPG of my Tam, I just fill up when it's a quarter full, all I do know is that it is a LOT better regarding MPG than my 4.5 Chim I had before, and I only know this because I don't have to fill it as often!!

Do you guys run unleaded or super unleaded ?
I always try and go for Optimax, but, to be very honest, I have never once noticed any difference between the cheapest and the most expensive fuel, this goes for both the Chim and the Tam (which, incidentilly, does have a larger fuel tank, but it's still noticably better on fuel!)

Had to put normal 95 in mine today after picking it up. It was definitely pinking a smidge during full throttle acceleration in second showing a Leon the right way to proceed rapidly. Usually run it on Optimax/98 and have never heard pinking, even at altitude in the Alps or the heat of Italy.
I get around 22-23mpg from mine, probably more on a steady 90mph motorway cruise - must check it sometime. (does anyone else find it hard to maintain a steady cruise? Today, like usual I found myself tearing-arsing along the M4/A404 with a silly grin on my face).

OPTIMAX ALWAYS (or BP's finest if no Shell is available). I drive my Tam around Central London but I've never really thought about MPG. I think its a bit more economical than my old Jag XK8 was so I suppose I'm getting about 18 MPG around town (rough estimate).
