Well, had a very busy weekend - bled the cooling system, touched up all the stone chips and minor scratches, optimised the suspension set-up, and polished the car inside and out (including the exhaust )... trouble is the boot hatch now wont open..!

Nothing happens when I press the badge (cant hear the the solenoid) - Checked the fuses (all of them!) and everything is ok. Gonna try and clamber into the back tonight to check the connections to the solenoid, but other than that I'm stuck! Anybody got any ideas??

(ps - tried arming and dissarming alarm a few times too just in case, but no joy...)

sound like the little rubber stopped has fallen off the T350 badge the presses againest the solenoid. You have to take the badge off, and stick it back on...

Same thing happened to mine

I think you un-bolt it from behind - (getting access from behind the compartment where the tool kit should have been before they stopped supplying them ) - I'll check tonight and let you know tomorrow if nobody else tells us before..?

Thats why I never recieved a tool kit in June 2004, but the older Tamora had one in its boot.

It definitely bolts on from behind. Ive just bought a new one to replace the old and the badge plate has two 1 1/2 inch bolts sticking out the back.
How does the rubber connect to it though

Just a quick update - It was the rubber thingy that had fallen off (Thank you Mr Freefall!). Not the easyest of jobs to remove the badge but its done now, rubber thing glued back and everything working!

With difficulty!

Open the hatch where the tool-kit should go, and at the top you will see that the flaps of carpet trim just push out the way and you can see diagonally upwards to where the back of the badge is. There you will see the two bolts sticking through and the back of the release button beween them.

Ideally you need a small (5 or 6mm) socket and flixible adapter as there are two lock nuts on the back holding the badge in place, and the space is too confined to be able to use a pair of pliers. Unfortunately I dont have many tools with me over here and had to make do with my fingers, but I really dont recomend that option!! Be very careful though - you are almost deffinately going to lose at least one washer as it falls into the inside of the bodywork .

In hind-sight it would probably be a good idea to duct-tape a piece of cloth or something underneath the back of the badge so it can act as a kind of a chute to slide the washers down into the boot
(this will probably make more sense when you see it.. ).

There are also springs and washers between the badge and the bodywork, so again be careful not to loose then when you remove it.

Hope this helps!
