Hi Everyone

Just after a bit of advice on hints and tips for checking the oil in my T350c, as I am having a few problems. I check the oil at operating temp (oil temp 50c) but never get the same result twice, as well as nearly burning my face each time reaching down to the front of the engine bay !!

Just wondered how you all do it? Tried unsuccesfully for the last 3 weeknds to get a proper reading....

Cheers

Sorry...

Cant say I've had any problems checking mine - just make sure its up to temperature (I would try and get it to at least 60 deg), and make sure its on a flat surface....!

If its the same as the Tamora then you seem to be doing it right but its not an exact science. I over filled mine the other day and had to remove some with one of thoes turkey baster things! I find its best to try and get a feel for the usage over a number of miles and just add the correct amount, in my case about 1/2 ltr every 3000 miles.

Make sure you check the level as soon as you switch off engine (have bonnet up, glove etc ready).

As said, 50c sounds a bit low, go for a nice long drive get it up to 70-80c.
