Interior Vent Fan
Discussion
Hi,
Is there any advice out there for removal of a Tamora interior vent fan? The fan doesn't run with 12v applied through the wiring and the amp is fairly new so I need to get to it an have a look at it. I've seen a couple of photos from a Tuscan, that's probably similar, but I can't identify how to get at it. I've looked beyond the battery in the inner wing area but can't see anything obvious there. Thanks in advance for any info.

Access is via battery 'hatch'. Look into same, and you will find a siliconed grp 'cover' on the "outboard" side of the compartment (may have some self-tappers in too).
Prise off this cover, and with your head well in the wheel arch, you should be able to see the fan motor mounted in the void btwn the inner and outer wings.
BEFORE you buy a replacement fan, liberally spray the motor with an electrical recovery spray ((Fospro) or WD-40 also there is a 2 pin connector in the void...give that some love too. Allow the spray to penetrate the bearings and windings of the motor/fan.
Problem is the motor/fan assy. sucks air in from the outside through the wing void ex the front of the car. There is nothing to prevent it ingesting all the wet and crap from our delightful roads.
