Hello... interested to know what spare fuses people carry in their Tam/350. Never had any problems with mine.. but are their any spare as standard and where are they kept. Will check tonight if I have any, but just thought I might get some.. (spend some cash) .

No spares in mine. I was actually looking at these on Sunday. I think you need 7.5, 10, 20 and 30 Amp spares to cover all the various needs of the fues 'box'.

On a similar note - why did they make the ECU so hard to reach? I'm lanky and wouldn't want to have to hold it in place while I screw the thing in place on the firewall.

I have spares in my 'Tool Box' that came with the car!
(The tool box, btw, for those who don't have one is merely a pick'n'mix of the most useless tools you are ever likely to not need!)

On that same "toolbox" issue (sorry to change track of thread..) I found a Halfrauds toolkit which fits perfectly in the space and I've found to be very usefull.. Ive also attached a piece of Vercro to the back of it to hold it in place as I presume the factory supplied one is..

Here it is..

www.halfords.com/opd_product_details.asp?id=17225&type=0&cat=146

although at the time I got it it was on special offer at £10

btw, what does the TVR one look like Chris?

Is it a posh leather one with a TVR emblem embossed in it, or it is just a no-name pvc one...?

The box is blow moulded plastic with the TVR emblem on it, you open it up and half the tools fall out, every time!!! It looks about the same size as the Halfords one, the only plus with the TVR tool box is that mine has about 8 different spare fuses.

Hmmm, in that case I'm quite happy with the one I got! I've had to reach for it loads of times (as you seem to with these lovely cars..!), and each time its had everything I needed to do the job! - If anybody else does buy it, theonly thing extra I would recommend (other than the spare fuses!) is a few Allen-keys...

Thinking of getting my car re-trimmed in the not to distant future too, so will probably get the tool-kit trimmed to suit too!!

LOL, and I thought I was bad!!!

(have to admit, I've often thought of a leather retrim, the Bison isn't the best to clean!)

Its not the cleaning, its just not wearing very well - after 8 months knicks, cracks, scratches etc are appearing everywhere which just isnt good...

Initial enquiries suggest that a full re-trim in good quality leather would be approx half the price of the option in the TVR brochure..!! (about £1000)

not bad.. Fuses to tool box to retrim !!

potential retrim... but then perhaps just add the money to get a new car...(TVR for sure).

LOL, agreed, I have always found this forum the most calm, and chock full of decent peeps I think us 'T' class owners must be more level headed
