Sagaris pics and thoughts
Discussion
Enjoyed a passenger ride in a Sagaris yesterday - have to echo what has been said elsewhere about improved build quality - really does seem a step up from the T350 and Tuscan. Everything about the car seems more solid and planted, and the ride is very compliant given it's racer derived design.
Unfortunately since the engine is being run in this pic sums up the progress on the day:

You swine! I was that close to ordering a reflex charcoal one. I was secretly hoping it wouldn't work somehow outside of the showroom. You've just proved me very wrong!
Thanks for the pic, I've waited ages to see one in that colour. When I found out that the vents were filled in I figured a darker colour would look best. My original choice was chosen in part to show off the vents! That said I'm still very happy with my combo and I've yet to see a colour that didn't look good on a Sagaris.
Only one question - hawkeye has spotted your exhausts have been rotated 90 degrees. I assume you had that done on purpose. Interesting one...

Ive been wondering how my 'gris will look in Reflex Charcoal and hoping I hadnt made a huuuge mistake. Now I know.
Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou and my God does that look awesome.
Sir I owe you a beer at a drinking establishment of your choice and convenience and I will happily bring along a sister car

Can't imagine the owner has had anything deliberately done to the exhausts as some aftermarket ones are lined up for it...
What I will say is that I have seen 4 sagarii in the flesh and none have had the same exhaust fitted!!
AS for the colour - that photo doesn't really do it any justice, you really need to see one moving in direct sunlight to appreciate it!

So you like it then?
It is a lovely colour isn't it. Really suits the car down to the ground.

I've got a reflex charcoal car (though not as pretty as that one) and have found the same.
When stood in bad light it just looks like a green car. However, when moving and well lit you get so much attention, which I presume is down to the paint (it doesn't seem to happen half as much when it's dirty either).
Lovely car, and has been said I don't think I've seen a colour combo I don't like. The orange one is my favourite though
. Not many cars can get away with lime green either! targarama said:

Oh hell yes.
£1800 justified at last.
Sooooo cant wait to get my hands on the beast.
Now then, who was the chappy who switched from a Typhon to a 'Gris and was talking of Penninsula getting it Supercharged ? More to the point have you spoken to them about it much?

Ignore him on this point... The exhausts has been indeed rotate 90 degrees to help fill the large gap seen from the back with the ever diminishing exhausts. We're looking at getting some larger sized ones to fill it better.
(It's my brothers car)
Shame there aren't any interior shots here as the contrasting black and scarlet interior works (surprisingly) well...
There are also some choice subtle mods planned also, such as carbon fibre detailing in the bodywork slashes and 19 inch rims.
TVR also kindly sprayed the engine cover scarlet also, and it matches the interior perfectly. I don't know if this is standard, but Peninsula's demo certainly didn't have this...
car though. Tuan
Red cam cover is standard now on all 4.0S engines. Certainly mine has it.
What I'm interested in is who's going to be the first person to have the vents cut out?
I'm still interested in doing this but at the moment unwilling to be the guinea pig! I'm also considering having some tuning done. Personally I favour N/A tuning, possibly to GT standard or thereabouts which would ideally give a reliable (in theory at least) 450bhp produced higher up the rev range. Add a louder exhaust to the extra revs and it should sound legendary.

Am I the only one that thinks this has gotten a bit out of hand...?
What's the motivation to cut these out? Is it to improve the dynamics (in which case, is this all that's really needed. Or will it involve more additional work, therefore, will it be worth it?), or is it just simply that the cuts were on the original car, therefore it's blasphamy if it's anything other than the same...?
Tuan
No offence meant BTW.

Well, it's pointless to have them (except maybe for styling) if they are not functional. Why break up the car's lines for no reason? Originally, they served as cooling ducts, and reduced pressure in the wheel wells. If they are not doing this, ie. they are covered up, what is the point of having "look alikes" at all? It's like having a whale tail spoiler on a slow car. Do you really need to have poseur bits on a TVR...?
TVR claims that too many rocks were being flung up, and excessive amounts of water and mud streamed through when driving in rain. With their extended warranty coverage, they felt it created too much exposure, so they blanked out these vents. I am sure a solution exists where the vents can still do their job, and the windscreen/paint can be protected from rock chips. Wire mesh? Inner liner? Reduce the number of passageways, change the direction of air (and rocks, water) travel within the passageways, change the vents' placement, put in cable-controlled sliding inner panels that vary the extent and angle of the openings, etc., etc.,--all of these come to mind as reasonably cheap and easy solutions. I am sure there's plenty more. Or do away with them entirely. But carve out fakes ones in the fibreglass? Bit naffy. And entirely unnecessary on a car like the Sagaris.
No offence, honest. Car's drop dead gorgeous. What colour is the interior? Thanks for the pics.

You are really going to love this car DJC
and that is one mean looking colour.
I have to say I prefer the lighter colours....I would have had Spectre Flair Silver but it seems that yellow flows through Ray's veins...so that was that!!!!
You just might find that you don't want to change it when you finally get her...........
the car's pretty awesome just as she is!!!
So....when's the delivery date?
YP They had a spectraflare silver one at Gatwick tvr last weekend. Already sold I'm happy to say, along with a stunning Aztec gold car. Of course in my opinion all would have looked even better with anthracite spiders. Their purple pearl demo car still takes some beating as a looker though.
Again I've yet to see a colour a Sagaris didn't look good in. There's always one though...

Kidding, I think its the most menacing car I've ever seen, nothing else like it (apart from the rest of the T family), which makes a refreshing change from most other manufactures, whose designs look like they've all been penned by clones!
