Anyone got any piccies of the older (~2002) and newer (~2003 onwards) Tamora styles.

I'm doing some serious looking at the moment to move up from my 99 Chim but I'm not happy that I can tell the difference between the 2 styles.

The differences are subtle IMHO, front fog lights etc.
check out the tamora register site
www.tvr-tamora.com/index.cfm

I'll PM you some pics later.

Thanks.

Any preference on the colours amongst the PH crew?

I just changed from a 99 Chim 4 weeks ago. Go on do it you will not regret it. Mines Chameleon Green and there is a pic on my profile...or the register.

Hi,

I like this one because its mine. The colour is Reflex green and its the newer shape, I do like Reflex Charcoal with mulberry red leather though.

Thanks for the replys and photos.

Sidpinup that looks quite delicious. Apart from the front lights I can't see how this 'new' shape differs from the 'old' one. Maybe I'm just being a bit thick - sorry.

Helipilot. I wonder if I could be a bit cheeky and enquire about the financial details (off line if you prefer). I'm thinking around £16k trade in for my Chim and around £26k for a 2003 Tamora - am I near the mark?

If you search the TMS web site they had a picture of the two cars side by side showing the styling changes, think one was grey and the other yellow.

You are right with the lights, older models dont have the bigger drivers lights but also tend to have more black bits around the bonnet vents and rear splitter.

I think that varies - seen some older ones with practically no black bits, I don't have the black bonnet vent, but do still have black rear diffuser and bit on rear spoiler.

There isn't a lot of visual difference to them, only the sort of thing a TVR enthusiast or owner is likely to spot.

The differences were bigger front fog lights and the rear lights moved position.

There were some other minor ones but this was the meat of it really.

Late 2002 models onwards should have the bigger fogs.

I've ordered a new Tamora and was told they no longer have functioning foglights. Does anyone know when this change occured and why?

Blackmonday,
The bigger front foglights are no longer foglights and are driving lights. They now function when you select main beam and are not connected to the foglight switch.
