Ok, so i know this is preaching to the converted, but i have just got back from my first ever driving experience in a T350 and i have to tell somebody!

Bearing in mind i have never even sat in a T350, let alone driven one, I left my house with limited expectations of what it was going to be like, especially after all the horror stories I read about trim falling off, wind noise, rattly engines etc.

I arrived at County TVR(yes i gave them a second chance), to be greeted by Trevor Galloway who took me to my Steed for the hour. Not having any T350T's in stock, my car for the hour was an 04 T350C finished in Anthracite. He popped open the door for me and i sat in. He explained all the controls and fired her up! The noise was incredible and i instantly had a grin on my face. He drove around for a bit warming her up, then after about 20 minutes of chatting and explaing the engine, car, experience etc, it was my turn to take the controls. He blatted me up a dual carriage way(3 figures were achieved effortlesly!) and stopped to change over. I sat in aprehensivly and took a few mins to get used to the 'racecar' pedal arangement. Then off i went. I immediatly became at one with the car and it felt second nature to drive and it became apparant that this was the car for me! Different drving experiences from country, dual carriageway and town driving then took place for what only seemed like minutes! Then it was off back to the dealership.

The looks we got were amazing, thumbs up from kids and adults a like. The noise is amazing. The driving experience is incredible. The handling is out of this world. In short, i want a T350!

I am a complete petrolhead and i have not expereinced this much excitment and passion for a car since i took delivery of my first TT back in 2000(which i got rid of a year later for another, and sold that for the S2000 which i have had for the past 12 month). The T350 really does feel special and after hearing that wind noise is not there, bits dont fall off, the engine doesn't sound like a bag of spanners, i can live with all the doubts that i previously had.

All my expectations were lived up to and MORE beyond! I am still now (3 hours later) grining with the thought of ownership!

So if anybody knows of a T350T for less than £30k in a 'nice' colour combo, please let me know! I NEEEEED one in my life!

Thank you for reading my excited ramblings, im off to the classifieds again!

Kevin

Excellent post Kevin , glad you enjoyed the test drive, having one of these cars is hard to quantify until you've tried it, nothing else ever seems the same again, and everything else seems very boring!
I did notice this in the classifides;
www.pistonheads.com/sales/detail.asp?i=42331&s=267

Lovely colour, air con, low mileage, and a years warranty! What do you think?

We test drove one last year, and liked it so much, we saved up, and eventually bought one last week. Really enjoying it

See why I kept asking if you'd driven one yet? People either get TVRs or they don't. No problem either way, but I think we can guess which way you went.

So now, when they talk about how quick their near-on 300hp super tuned TTs are on the TT forum you can just snigger quietly to yourself. This is a REAL sports car (I see the S2000 as a baby TVR in many ways).

You should be able to pick up a 'T for under 30k if you bide your time.

Welcome to the nut-house that is TVR ownership (well soon).

Thanks Chris, but i have really decided on a T model. After driving the C yesterday, for me it feels too chlostrophobic after having a Roadster for the past 3 years.

Trefor, words failed me on how great this car is and even 24hrs later i still feel the same! I knew i wanted one, but always 'thought' i knew what it would be like to drive so i didn't bother with a test drive as a matter of urgency. Boy was I wrong!

The wheels are in motion in terms of finding a car, and as soon as my Boss gets my Annual Review/Bonus out of the way in 1/2 weeks time, i will be able to sort out my finances and get onto buying my baby ASAP!

It's like christams all over again and i cant wait to get her(wherever she may be) and then casually slip a 'my new car' post onto TTF(untill then its top secret please!)!

Another benefit of the Targa is a bit more headroom/spacey feeling even with the roof on. Plus I think it looks better.

Careful about the TT forum, there are one or two TVR owners on there who might wander this direction.

Cool! , would have loved to see you today, the weather's been great!, just got back, both our faces resemble a bizzare Kilroy Silkish tone!!!!
A Gloucestershire meet would be terrific!

The T350 is one I haven't completely ruled out myself, and to be honest they seem to be easier to get hold of than the Tamora. But then again you can't take the roof off which is something which is appealing to me more and more, especially after being taken for a blast today at the Silverstone TVR meet in a Tamora I'm thinking of buying.

TVR's are all just lovely cars. I have a budget of £25k ish and that T350 at Fenhurst motor company looks pretty good for that price.... damn it, just as I had pretty much decided on the Tamora. I decided I couldn't get a T350 for that sort of budget but it would seem that I may be wrong.

The T350 is one I am yet to drive, I am guessing it is like driving the Tamora with the roof up being the same chassis, engine etc.? Or does it handle better?

Such nice cars, but which to get....
