Changed battery on sag over winter. Car is charged but when I try to start, fuel primes but just get a click when I turn key?

Seem to remember reading the car may need pairing to immobiliser or key etc

How do you do this?

Any other issue it could be?

Mine does this usually when been left few a few months and in very cold weather on a cold start. After a few starts and as the weather warms up over summer it goes away only for it to return the following spring. It will spin on the starter after a dozen or so tries and some times a bit of rocking with the clutch engaged.

Assuming its either battery or starter but as the problem goes away after a little while i havent bothered replacing either.

Sounds more like a starter issue given that the fuel pump primes? You might have a bad earth somewhere or need an overhauled starter. My T350C had similar issues that were improved when I cleaned all the engine to chassis earths but cleared completely when I swapped the starter for a WASP one.

If the fuelpump primes the Immobiliser is OK, because you have Power on the ECU. The click comes from the starter, so he has power too. Must be a starter issue.

Ok many thanks, yes I was thinking the same that it should not prime and click, thank you for clearing that up. Thought it was a seized or jammed starter because its being left a couple of years. Could not see it to give it a tap.

Started and running sweet but when i take it for a service I will get them to drop a new one on. Thank you guys

I'm sure it's a lack of use issue .. My Sag used to do it quite a lot , now my Tuscan convertible has started doing it, But like Puff , on the 2nd or 3rd attempt it clears. I guess it's a sticking solenoid/relay some where.
