Hi all,
2004 Tamora.

Near side rear brake caliper is not releasing fully, so brake is binding a little.

Looking to replace it with a new one. I thought I had read somewhere these are from a Ford Mondeo, but I cannot find a similar caliper.

Can anyone advise please.

Thanks
Chris

From Racetech's website it's the same caliper as Chim/Griff so yes they are Ford Sierra.

Basic Sierra's were drum brake, sportier ones had solid discs and some (Cosworths?) had vented discs.

Cossie. Easy to refurb. Don’t paint them blue....... very south of the water style.....

I’ll have you know that was a special batch of Porsche riviera blue powder coat that was made up for me. Mildly awesome hehe

No suitable for north of the river without passport.

I thought they were a bit tricky, something to do with the handbrake mechanism inside, a fiddly awkward circlip or something?

You mean the handbrake spring retainer basket, and the circlip that went over it

and putting the spring on biggrin

Callipers are Ford items. Wide mouth version for vented discs. Sapphire Cosworth 4x4 used them - iirc.
