I have been quoted £770 for my Tamora is that about right?

I think it sounds a bit expensive but I want to take it to the TVR Centre in Barnet, 'cos I have heard very good things about their work.

If that includes tappet adjustment, that seems to be about right, if it doesn't, if the checking of the tappets is another cost on top of that, look elsewhere.
I have noticed that a lot of dealers in the South East area are very expensive, but I think thats due to the extortionate business rates they have to pay.

Does that include checking and adjusting valve clearances? If it does, it looks pretty reasonable to me, as far as TVR servicing goes!

Perhaps you should get TVR power to do it and it gives you a chance to put some miles on it as well!

Silverstone TVR quotes the following for routine servicing:
  • 6k service - £529
  • 12k service - £624
  • 24k service - £736
  • Tappets (12000 miles) - £210

If I remember correctly I paid ~£900 inc VAT for the 12k including tappet adjustment.
