Simple questions really in regards to the T350 and it's Alarm system...

When getting quotes for my intended purchase, my insurance company are asking for the make/model of the CAT1 approved alarm system installed.

1. Has the T350(both 'T'&'C') had the same alarm fitted from the start of its production in 2003?

If no to Q1...
2.what variants are there?
3. See Q4&5...

If yes to Q1...
4. What make/model is it?
5. Is it CAT 1?

Cheers

I cannot remember the meta model number for my 2004 t350c now, but when my insurance company Priviledge asked for a certificate of instalation I just phoned the service department at Blackpool who sent me a letter back with all the relevent details. This letter was posted to my insurance company and was accepted without any bother

Metta M99t with microwave sensor.

Technically not CAT 1 because they are factory installed, and TVR are not Thatcham CAT 1 approved installers, but as far as the insurance company's go, they are CAT 1, and the letter you would get from TVR says CAT 1

Hope that helps

Hey guys

I have recently purchased a T350T (2004) and have been asked by my insurance company (DL) to provide an installation certificate. Having read similar posts I was hoping that someone may have a scanned copy of the document that I require.....?

Any help gratefully received. I'm not covered for theft until I forward them the certificate. Amazingly they arent requesting a Tracker....they have done with my last 4 cars - BMW MRoadster, Lotus Elise 135R Sport, BMW M5, Porsche Boxster. I'm not complaining but where is the logic??!!

Cheers

I believe the tracker is based on car value.

When I 1st reg., I had to give evidence that I have a tracker, nothing about an alarm! A year on, I don't but I had to give evidence I have an approved alarm!. Joke or what!
