Hi folks

due to pick up my new baby in a few weeks. t350t red rose. Can't believe the insurance quote...nearly £4k!
Now, i haven't been 17 for nearly 17 years, 6 years+ncb, have a clean license, rural postcode etc...
Any ideas? Can't afford such a dent in my holiday fund

I use Direct Line for my sins but am a year or so younger than you and with my girlfriend as a named driver fully comp for my T350c it costs just over £700

Not sure how much the red rose conversion adds but would not of thought it would be over 3 grand

Points, criminal record, using it for stunt driving?

If none of the above who on earth quoted you so high.....?

Depends whether or not you want track cover........

Try Sunninghills..they include track cover......Aaron is a helpful guy...he'll sort you out

Tesco are supposed to be good too, if track cover is not an issue.

I'm paying about £500 PA with Tesco fully comp with protected no claims and legal cover for my Cerb 4.5.
When I transferred the XJR, Ferrari, Range Rover and Cerb to them it saved me about £2K PA!

I'm only 26 and my Tam is on fully comp for £950 with Bell.

Think they may either be taking the piss or I am in for a rude awakening come August.

I am currently looking at insuring a T350C I am due to be picking up next week.

My current insurance (on my SEAT Leon Cupra R) is with Elephant and to "upgrade" it to the T350C (with 10 months left) will cost £580! The odd thing is a Tamora of the same age and value (what I was originally looking for) is only £260!

How come the Tamora is so much cheaper than the T350C?

Some companies such as Privilege insist on a approved security device being fitted. Is the T350C standard one not good enough? I can't seem to find TVR on the list anyway... odd that.

edit: Never mind, was told to just put in any and they will change it to the correct one should I take the policy out.

Direct line seem to be cheaper, but not by a lot. Protected NCB is an extra £135!

How does £950 sound for insurance on a T350C? I'm a 26 year old with 7 yrs NCB (protected) no points or accidents and with my girlfriend on the policy (usually brings it down).

I was quoted £2k by A1 TVR Specialist insurance and told as I am under 30 and have no TVR experience that I couldn't expect a quote for any less from any of the specialist firms!?

Nick, see my post above about Privilege, and also see my recent thread about 'Alarming Issues'.

The T350 alarm is Cat1 approved and is the Meta M99t (microwave), which is listed by privilege.
