Is air con essential for a T350T. I'm considering buying one but the pre-requisit of air con limits my chioce of used cars. Opinions please.
I personally wouldn't buy a TVR without Air Con.
It was a godsend in the Cerb........
Don't really know about the Sagaris yet as the blower packed up a couple of days after picking it up...
Having said that, I am speaking as one who has never had a removable roof TVR

aircon is a must esp if you do not have any removable panels my tuscan never had its roof panel on from when it was new till i traded her in.
I dont know what the heat soak is like on the t350 but on the tusc it was massive!! something that they have sorted out on the sagaris because I havnt used it yet appart from making sure they fitted it.(never quite sure what may have been left out)

Ive been looking for a T350T for the past few months and all i can sau is one thing. GET AIRCON!
Every dealer I have spoken to says that they only buy T350's (T & C) with aircon purely for resale. If you look in the clas's there are 2 T350T's without aircon that have been knocking around for a few months now. When I rang up, they both said they are finding it difficult to sell because they dont have aircon. There is also a Dark Blue T at TMS that has been there for months! That doesn't have Aircon either.
It 'may' not be essential to have it (i personally think it is after my test drives), but I wont be buying a T350 without it, purely on what i have experienced over the past few months whilst looking.

I had a look at one of the cars for sale without A/c - it was a stunning car and the G/F was trying to drag my wallet out of my pocket to buy it.
But the T350 like the Cerb seems to need A/c.
Buyers seem to demand it .. so I had to pass on that one - absolute shame as I was hooked on the colour

This topic comes up from time to time and you get the same predictable responses. I own a T350 without aircon so I feel I ought to give you a view from the other side. I too was shopping in the used section and my advice is don't prejudge a car without aircon, get the best all round package you can with the money you have to spend. Remember A/C can be retro fitted for £2k if you so wish, try changing the colour, interior, mileage, service history of a car with aircon once you have bought it.....
True it will affect residuals now they all have A/C but if you find the right car just make sure the price reflects that and buy it.
As for living with a non-AC T350 (coupe I might add). Well it's fine. Never once has it misted up and on the hottest day we've had this year (early 20's) I didn't feel hot. I'm going to France in it in August and I'll happily change my tune if it's a pain in the arse (and probably get it fitted) but I can't see it to be honest.
As for shifting T350's generally well none of them sell quickly, full stop.
If you can find one, the best person to speak to would be someone who has lived with both cars, not someone whose just driven AC or non-AC. However, I think my opinion is worth bearing in mind as when I bought mine I negotiated a deal to get it fitted for £1600 anytime I choose. I still haven't taken up that offer.
Get in touch if you want to chat, I don't post very often but think my email is probably in my profile.
