You sometimes forget how fast,,,,

We went out for a little blast last night with the roof off, just driving round some of the great twisties around here, and, of course, ending up at Tesco, as I was told the dogs needed food!!! (Chan just did a £150 shop a few days earlier!)
We even had a very nice guy in a BMW stop at the car park as we started the car up and said 'Nice car', which was nice :)
We then headed home, and the engine was well and truly warmed up, so I stayed in 2nd gear most of the way, enjoying it so much I failed to see or hear Chan screaming, telling me to slow down,,, I couldn't, for the life of me understand why, I was really enjoying ut and thought I was well within the speed limits, until Chan told me I did 73 around a corner! :yikes:, It was so much fun and the Tam so compliant, I didn't think I was doing anywhere near that speed!
These new TVRs really do flatter you in a way the older ones can't! :):)

.Come prepared to talk about alternative suspension,i've a feeling your going to enjoy the subject
,but we better sit as far as possible from Chan

Come onto the straight on an open B road bend at 90ish in the Cerb, get it straight and nail it. Just a blink later pull fourth at 7500 rpm and 120 mphish. Keep you right foot planted down the straight and pull fifth at 7500 rpm and boot it again. Look down at the speedo if you dare take your eyes off the road. The car is moving about. Some is the road surface, some is the crap aerodynamics. Whatever it keeps you awake. For slight kinks in the road you use the full width and still feel grateful when it loads up and sits in the groove. Then you see the end of the straight, see your long established braking points. Lift off. Middle pedal. Not too fast. Let the car get stable under braking, settle down. Then blat, blat down through the gears looking for the apex to appear so you can load it up once again.
Sometimes you come across another car who thinks he is going fast. A CTR for instance. He is giving it everything but he still doesn't see where you have come from. His car rocks, he hears the noise. Then he can't see where you went.
These cars are seriously fast.

Bruciebabie,
In these unpolictically correct times, I did have to raise a smile to your post. These car's are phenomenal.
The Tamora has been thraped around some of Cambridgeshire's more pleasant roads this afternoon. I thought I was in a small band of people who thought 120mph in 3rd was normal.
I don't think I've got the balls to drive the nuts off a Cerbera but there is comething to be said for keeping the Speed 6 at 6000-8000 rpm. Its a different kind of outrageous noise.
Bloody marvellous! Long live TVR!
Sorry, I've been drinking.

Indeed
, I'm not the best driver in the world, not by a long way, but I know what pushes my buttons, and TVR seems to do just fine! Looking at the sky this morning, it looks like another great TVR hooning day too!!!
(apart from I have been up since 5.30am with the aftermath of a stinking cold, but I think I broke the fever last night! lol)
Totally agree how easy it is to press on without really realising. I had a fantastic afternoon today roof off in the Tuscan. It's always good to properly stretch it's legs.
Interesting run with a GSXR 1000 on a stretch of uphill dual carriageway. He hung back to let me go so I floored it in 2nd. He lifted the front wheel and then caught and passed, me as I was mid way through 3rd, on the back wheel. Slightly dangerous riding to say the least, but it made me smile.
