Two weeks and 1600 miles into the ownership of my T350 and only have one niggle which is getting worse as I slowly build speed as the miles pile on.... the seats...

Am I the only one who finds themselves holding onto the wheel for support when I should be turning it to bring the back end back in line (can't resist kicking the back out on roundabout exits....).

So thinking about some new seats, but there is not much space so the first idea is Caterham kevlar buckets?? Anyone tried this before??? Or something different??

Thanks for your help.

I agree. Maybe we're more slender around the hips than the average tvr driver

I found the lamonta trim on the seats to be more supportive than the leather. I've had both a tamora and a t350 loan car from the factory. I ordered the more slippery leather on my Sagaris just because it looks and feels nice but for 'spirited' driving the lamonta (or fake suede) grips better.

I too wouldn't mind looking into buckets one day. You can get some pretty sleek ones from Sparco and Momo and OMP all very good quality. Recaro used to make a cool race seat too with sticky stuff on the shoulder pads. I'm sure they'd all fit with a bit of persuasion.

I have the same complaint. I thought of fitting Tuscan seats which are far more supportive. Another way round the problem is to remove the seat cushion, you then get more "grip" from the base of the seat.

I also agree, just think it might spoil the look - would you just replace driver seat? Passenger can afford to slide around a bit. If you find anything suitable, please post pics

Slightly cheaper option....

I specc'd the lamonta trim which helps, but I also modified my drivers seat cushion so that it is half height. This mekes me sit lower in the seat and now my lower body is held firmly in place... Upper body could still do with a little extra support, but otherwise its a big improvement...!

I was looking to spec a smaller cushion when I was planning on order new. Being 6'5 makes it a bit of a tight squeeze.

What did the mod involve (and who did it?)

It involved me, scissors, a bread knife, and a sewing needle..!!
I basically unpicked the back of the seat cushion, removed the latex foam, and cut it in half horizonatlly. I bought some additional lamonta and made a new cover for it (the thinner cushion only needs it to be a "pouch" rather than "box sided", but you can easily alter the existing cover to suit...

If you're not keen on sewing and are ordering from new, factory made a half-height one for me last April as part of order (no apparent cost). Definite improvement. Had standard one as well just in case.

I had one made and they charged me something like £60 (can't remember exactly).

Ouch!! Maybe they saw reason by the time Targarama asked. At these prices, sewing makes sense!
