I'm new to the TVR world so bear with me if I ask dumb questions.

I've gone from an 911 C4S to an M3 in the last 6 months and the M3 just doesn't quite get the blood racing. so today I went to see the nice people at TVR London an am probably going to order a Sagaris and failing that a Tuscan2.

Has anyone gone from a 911 or M3 to a Sagaris? If so what's your thoughts?

How reliable are the new breed TVR's, of course the sales guy today said there are no problems at all.

What's a realistic servicing bill? I guess disks and pads are about a grand a set?

I'll probably end up buying a Focus as well just to the 'war department' happy, so I won't be running the Sagaris every day.

Thanks,

Phil

Well I've just sold an M3CSL and bought a T350T for an everyday car and have a 996GT2 as a toy.

TVR's are now reliable enough to use everyday without any significant issues (well I've run 4 over the last 10 years so maybe I have a biased view!).

However, you have to remember that it is a low volume hand made car and therefore you will get rattles and squeeks, heating and ventilation are from 20 years ago compaired to modern cars, they are noisy (hands free car kit at 80.... forget it) and things like the headlights and wipers are not up there with a BMW or a 911. You'll need a friendly dealer to get things fiddled with from time to time.

BUT, driving wise these cars are much more fun (well unless you have a 500 odd HP GT2...lol) and have to be really driven a great change from most modern cars out there.

So go for it, if you've not had one you'll not regret it if you really enjoy driving!
