.. the Sagaris has a great deal to live up to.. I really hope it does. I have pretty much driven it every day since buying it - I would seriously recommend a Tamora to anyone (wish I'd not wasted so many years with other cars)..
At least I can stay on this forum....

WOW!!! Congrats Jasp!
, I have to admit that I have been tempted by the Sag a few times, but wifey wants a new car now! (Clio 182 or Fiesta ST150!), so I have to hold fire
At least you've thus far enjoyed the TVR experience, how do they compare to the Boxster?

Chris, thanks - the S2000 was stolen
. but was a good car when we had it. Tamora different league on performance.. Still have the Boxter.. again good for what it is.. but nothing like the joy when driving the Tamora. Although never really understand why the Boxter always gets the best reviews.. IMHO.
.. Will have to wait and see how the Sagaris stacks up.. My freind just purchased a ST150 and thinks its great..
not that that helps you... Hi Martin
,
Phew, I thought I was going mad when I first put in the S2000, was sure you had one, checked your profile and it just shows Boxster! lol
Have to admit, I LOVE driving, and the Sag seems the perfect un-nannying driving machine, I don't think you'll be disappointed, except when the sun's out and you go to take the roof off and,,, Oops, wrong car!!! lol
Bloody wifes, I guess it's only fair she has a decent car, after all, I have spent thousands the past year on my Tam, and she hasn't batted an eyelid, bless her
She LOVES the looks of the ST150, but I can't help thinking the Clio's better! We have put a provisional order in for the Fiesta, and will be test driving next week, wish I was test driving the Sag instead though

Having had a tamora since Christmas as a loan car I completely agree. Superb cars and simply epic to drive. Strangely the noise isn't that much louder with standard pipes with the roof down compared to a t350. Mainly because the car is so quick you get up to high wind noise speeds in no time.
To be honest even though I have the Sagaris now, there are days when I wish I still had a Tamora. So I think you have to be prepared to feel the same. Convertibles are always a bit special, even crappy ones, let alone possibly the best of the lot (if you like tvrs) - the tamora. Afterall the mechanical differences between the two cars aren't that many or that great. But that's a good thing. The Sagaris is pure TVR, just refined and honed in a number of key areas. It's definitely a better high speed cruiser and all the great stuff is there just taken on a step: the grip, composure, steering, performance. Everything's just a little better but it all adds up to a mightily impressive car. Then there's the looks. No matter how hard I try to see it the other way round. A great coupe is always better looking than a great convertible. Exige/Elise, 911/911 cabrio (sorry I said great coupe!).
You know what I think? After all this time I think I've worked out where the Tam's very undeserved image problem might come from - the name. It sounds, well, girly. In reality, the car itself is anything but. It's absolutely epic to drive, crazy fast and looks stunning in the flesh. TVR pulled off a unique visual stunt with the Tamora. It manages to look both classic and radical at the same time. And it works, for me anyhow.

Chris, cheers.. have to drive before we wake up in a nanny state.. the government tracking our every move and heavily taxing us for the privilege.
Maddog, thanks - I hope someone buys it soon.. it will be a real steal. I hope I'll be invited to any Tamora events, I still love the car and wish I could have both. I'll park the Sagaris around the corner
The Pits.. the deed is done.. went for Mystic Black Pearl - the dealer had one on back order so could get delivery in July. I could change the interior to my own spec.. but just went for a very very subtle (black with very dark red contrast stitching and carpet piping) with carbon leather in various places. Basically copied the interior of one they had in stock that I thought looked fantastic... yes I said July

Well sorry to see you go. I will remove you from the Tamora register, but I am sure there is one for Sagaris owners somewhere!

Without hijacking the thread, from what I understand this may play in our favour. Think about it. Zero fuel duty, so our not so frugal engines become cheaper to run. Zero road tax, so no issues with that either. Then we only pay for the roads we use, well who wants to drive a TVR down a motorway, give me a minor B road any day of the week! So as much as I dont want to pay for the eurobox I think it could work out a lot cheaper for my TVR!
Prepares for a bashing....

Big issue with road charging like this is that poor people get priced off the road and rich people in fat Range Rovers just jolly around like they own the place ... just like it used to be 100 years ago. Not really fair is it?
Plus, as someone on PH has said already, people will not mind using their cars for the polluting cold engine, congestion causing school/local newsagent runs as they're cheap. Meanwhile people trying to do their job are penalised. Ever tried to get to work on public transport recently (even if you live in London
