Afternoon Gents
I currently have a Lotus Elise which I do love very much but I feel the time is comming to move on and get something different. I've always loved TVR's and when I look at the range now I paticularly like the T350 and the Tamora. But however I dont really know much about either of them.
Could you give me a brief summery of 0 - 60 Etc and how different from an Elise they are to drive Etc.
I always hear bad pres about TVR's breaking down. Is this an exageration or are they potentialy unreliable.
I apriciate your coments.

I moved from a S160 Elise to a Tamora and have never regretted the switch. The Tamora is more like a grown up Elise, sounds silly but on the road it is planted and not as skittish as the Lotus was.
You do have to watch out for the rear end breaking away especially in the damp.
Easier to get into and luggage space, find a dealer and try a test drive, you will then be a convert believe me.

mk 1 Elise (loved that car) to a T350 via a Tuscan.
T350 and Tamora handling a revelation for a TVR and deffo comparable to a Lotus- power is er.....substantial and you but you need to get used to the TVR long travel throttle-last inch or so of travel warps spacetime locally so use with care.
my T350 is just so civilised after the Lotus.Comfy seats, dry in all weathers, easy to access.Wonderfull leather interior as well.
The Tamora is a very cool looking car in the flesh-photos do not do it justice as it looks meaner on the road.
T350 looks like a shark mated with a UFO and is a complete hoot to own as you make a shed load of new friends from admiring bikers through to elderly gents who ask you to rev it!
Take your time, read all the threads, don't be put off by the reliability threads as they are a bit repetitive and give a distorted view IMHO,talk to your local dealer and test drive a few.
Then buy one and have the best fun you can on four wheels

CHeers guys
like you say I am quite keen on something a little more comfortable and solid feeling while still maintaining good handleing and acceleration. I am still keen to have a convertable though so I guess the Tamora would be the way to go although I do love the look of the back of the T350. Is there a convertable or Targa option for the T350 and if so is it any good.

yes, it`s the T350T as opposed to the T350C. It has two large removable targa panels but having never driven one I don`t know how good they are.
I have driven both the tamora and the t350c and they are both excellent, MUCH quicker than an elise and handle very sweetly, esp. considering the power on tap. Reliability is an issue but any worse than a lotus? Probably not.
