I'm just about to order my very first TVR and so far have added three options:
1. Pearlescent paint
2. Aircon
3. Paint protection

Is there anything else that is classed as a must have? For example Porsche tell you sat/nav and telephone module is a must have for resale values.

Air con is the only must as far as reselling goes I would imagine. If that's a concern ask your dealer's advice about a popular colour and don't go crazy with the interior colours. Keep it simple in their. The more eccentric ones must be harder to sell. Sat nav is cool but not essential and you can easily get that fitted at a later date. Paint protection seems to be working so far on mine so well worth it given the chip prone design of the body.

I wasn't sure at first but it looks like the close ratio box is becoming highly desirable. You'll still sell the car without it but it does allow over 60mph in first and 100 in second! So it's a question of something that may help you enjoy the car even more while you have it.

The factory Sagaris press car had the close ratio box which helped it achieve the scorching times they produced a few weeks ago.

0-100 in 8.5? 0-140 in 17 seconds? They used to say the mark of a 'serious' performance car was one that could crack the ton in less than twenty. The Sagaris hit 150 in 20!

That's entertainment!

Armourfend......it's a personal thing...you either like it or you don't.

We have it because there are a couple of places where the stones may kick up and we have Midas Gold....

Air conditioning is essential if you don't want to melt in hot weather.

The CR box is also well worth having and I am really glad I went for it.

TSS what colour is your Sagaris, it looks very similar to mine but I don't think it's iced titanium is it? Either way excellent taste!

Thanks The Pits, glad you like it. It’s Lamborghini Grigio Avalon* (Lambo paint code 0049), gun metal grey with a hint of blue. It is darker than Iced Titanium and very similar to how the Iced Titanium prototype looked in the pictures in Sprint – I think they tinted those pictures to give a slight blue tinge and make the grey a little darker. It’s classed as a “metallic” but has a lot of sparkle in it so in sunlight it looks like a “starmist” paint.

*Sometimes called Grigio Avlon, I‘ve never managed to find out whether it should be Avalon or Avlon as even Lambo dealers seem confused.

Close ratio box is an excellent option.

Would recommend that you discuss final drive ratios so that you dont finish up with the less sporting high ratio diff fitted to many Saggy things out there.
