New Car thoughts
Discussion
You may (or may not) interested in my thoughts after a nearly 2 months and 3000 miles in a new T350.
Very few niggles, until my trip back to the dealer for the 1000 mile services and the aircon packed up resulting in an extra day off the road.
The had to go back to the dealer due a clonking noise from the rear - turned out to be an anti-roll bar that was incorrectly lubricated and a quick job.
Mechanically faultless, rattle free inside (less rattles than any other new car (mainly Subarus) over the last five years)
Irritating error messages about faults that don't really exist.
But the main reason to post was to say that I also bought a Subaru Legacy Spec B about 2 weeks earlier - and the engines just been declared dead! I've got to admit I wasn't expecting that.
I've now had 4 new subarus in 6 years. 1 needed a new clutch within 6 months. Another needs a new engine....
One final comment went for a blast with regualr Porsche/Ferrari driver and car dealer. Mine was the first T350 he'd been in and he thought the car was "a horny peice of kit", and wished Porsche would put as much effort into the design of the interior of their cars.
Sorry for the ramble, but I hope you get my point.
cheers,
sw

Hi,
It was bought as an extra car that's since become the only thing I drive.
Nipping out for a pint of milk now takes 30 minutes.
I'm sure the mileage will settle down - and I've been wishing I'd gone for the targa the last couple of days.
Love the design, love the performance - just wish the factory had gone the extra 2% to really finish it properly. But then if it was perfect I probably wouldn't have wanted it.
Something to do with attention seeking and masochism... Is there a psychologist in the house?
