Considering a T350
Discussion
I've been away from the TVR fraternity for about a year now (used to own a 4.2 Cerbera) and I'm starting to think of a return to the fold.
I have not spent any time at all researching the newer models but I do like the look of the T350 and would be considering a 2003 or 2004 model as the typical prices on the classifieds fits my budget.
My question is are there any big 'Gotchas' to look out for when buying second hand T350's and also what's the reliability like (compared to the Cerbera if anyone has experienced both cars).
I want to take a logical approach in considering the merits of the T350 before I jump into one for a test flight and end up buying one on impulse.
Let's hear some stories of encouragement please.

My first and only TVR was a 4 month old (at the time) '03 T350 so I can't make comparisons with other TVRs. It has now covered 11,800 miles with no major probs.
After its v. recent 12000 mile service that included new valve guides which I think is a std part of the service, it now sounds and drives smoother than ever.
I have driven 3 T350s all slightly different build quality and engine smoothness.
Recurring problems -
Glove box catch regularly detaches - superglue fix.
Oil sensors fail with regularity on T350s (according to my dealer) - I am on my 3rd and that has a small leak.
Big fun occurs past 4000 rpm and keeps going to 7000+
2003 T350c
18,000 miles - no problems
Just got back from Le Mans where it covered 600 miles (Calais to LeMans, both ways) in temperatures over 100'c, at speeds upto 150 (ish).
- Glovebox on all but latest cars are a joke.
- Gearstick warms up to temperatures which make it untouchable.
Great fun.

Hmm, I have had a 4.0 Chim then an early 4.2 Cerb and the T350T. The T350 is the best car in every way except it does not pick itself up and hurtle toward the horizon in quite the manner the Cerb could. As for reliability, I haven't had any major issued with any of them although the T350 had a good few little problems but it was new and I expected that.
T350 is refined, well mannered and everything works to a resonable standard. even the demist.
